what rich people do is news, if not entertainment. one of the things stanley is arguing is that what rich people do is entertainment, and that is why jersey shore and the kardashians work. she's wrong to link them.

your insight that forming relationships with online personnas or reality tv characters is a good one, and i will keep it in mind as i try to think this through. thank you.
