We published a review of the new Henrietta Lacks book, and I objected to the reviewer calling Lacks a "donor," which to me implies informed consent. I suggested calling her the "patient" or simply "body" but I was overruled. If you call it what it is, it sounds terrible. Go figure. Ugh.
