Worst:

This is alleged to be a Givenchy. I don't believe it. It looks like a mambo shirt by Oscar Hijuelos. Actually it looks like two different dresses, both cheesy.

Like this amazing schmatta:

The Fug Girls like it but I think it too is two dresses, or one dress with Mae West's old bed hangings on the bottom. Yikes.

Many, many hideous dresses, some on people I've heard of. SJP, yow. Charlize, mamita! Those two dresses are so bad they look like they were preceeded by a bad neuro event. Barbra Streisand looking dumpy for the first time ever in a black dinner suit with a lace jabot to the knees, ditto diamond necklace.

Still discerning the best. I'm thinking Penelope Cruz, and not just for the arm candy.

A really, really good color which stands out from the carpet, unlike Sigourney Weaver's silly dress behind Penelope. It looks like she's been green-screened. I don't like the bust on Penelope's Donna Karan. But this is the closest to a pretty dress tonight.

I blame Zoe.

Banks. Elizabeth Banks is who I meant. The red carpet photos are mediocre, but she looked great on stage.

She's the one who gave the technical awards. She was charming and happy and stood up straight. I have found two red carpet photos and they're terrible, so I'm not linking them. :) But I loved her during the show.
