Yikes! The livejournal drama is getting a bit much. I will bookmark you on Blogspot, although Insane Journal is looking pretty good, despite the name. That's where I plan to migrate if the rug gets pulled out from under LJ.

Vox (still owned by Six Apart, I think) offers the same security/filtering options as LiveJournal. I just opened a journal there under the same username.

I haven't investigated fully, but it looks like Insane Journal also offers the ability to filter and/or lock posts.

I suspect my various friends are going to wind up in different neighborhoods on the webspace, and I'm not very happy about this.

Like him I hate the name and the "asylum" theme, but it seems like a lot of my friends are planning on migrating there if/when things blow up. There and Vox, where I just opened a third account. This is all going to be very confusing until the dust settles.

This discussion reminds me that I have a boatload of feeds I should record somewhere, since right now LJ is my feed reader.

I've got my InsaneJournal and GreatestJournal accounts set up already, just in case. But I hope like blazes to not have to move and re-establish so very many connections.

You could use a client so that it'll post to two services (or more!) at once! I plan on trying that, but haven't quite decided which to go with. :)
