it's hard to understand, but there's a glimmer on one of the sites -- he loved to be called the golden child, had always been, and rielle hunter zeroed right in on that. i can't think of any other reason he could or would find her shaggable -- except that she has the folie a deux thing down pat.
The hubris, if I may use an overused term, is just staggering. Just like Hart's "follow me around, I'm clean as a whistle" dare. Who thinks, "I'm cheating on my terminally ill spouse while seeking the most high-profile job in the world. You know what? I need to document this"? Someone who does not even imagine that there can be negative consequences, that's who.
