If you have any English plantain growing where you are, grab a few leaves, wash them, chew them to a pulp, then apply the mush to your ant bites. Leave it on as a poultice for about 20 minutes. It's not a panacaea but it does help. Also works on spider bites and beestings and scrapes and such. This is Eastern European kitchen-witchery handed down by my gran.

For some reason it doesn't work as well if you pulp it any other way. I don't know why but I've tried it and it just doesn't.
